Steemit is already a wonderful platform that pays it users for writing good content and curation for up voting of posts. So it got me thinking, what if Steemit monetized it's website with paid adverts even using google ads and using the revenue generated from those adverts to buy Steem off the market and redistribute that Steem to the Steemit users in addition to the daily pool of Steem that is used to pay it's users.
Now you might be thinking nooooo, I don't want adverts to spoil my experience of Steem, but what if you made it an option to opt out of viewing adverts on a per user basis. However if you opt out you are not eligible to a share of the revenue generated from the adverts. They could also add an option when you write a post to not show adverts for your blog post, of course in this case your post also does not qualify for ad revenue shares.
Using the ad revenue to purchase Steem from the market does not create more Steem. Instead it will increase the price of Steem every time Steem is purchased with that money. That Steem is then distributed to everyone proportionately based on what their reward would have been if they have adverts enabled and if their post qualifies for it i.e. had adverts enabled.
