The Vote Slider
The sum total of my work on Steemit is represented symbolically by my vote slider which I just got, literally 2 minutes ago. I feel like I've been given a well earned promotion. How much to give, 22% - 76% or the full 100% ? I've been on steemit (23.5 hours a day) for 2.5 months or about 10 weeks. I've had some ups and downs. I won Steemitphotochallenge in my 2nd week (with this photo of the London Riots) and was very surprised / encouraged to post more. I have posted more, probably more than 1,000 of my most interesting photos, maybe even 1,500. I haven't had time to count them up.
Hard Work
I've posted a lot of my best photographic work with carefully worded photo essay to accompany series of images. Street photography, street art from around the world. Nature and macro, landscape and other themed sets. Water, clouds, rain, that kind of thing.. I've even posted my microscope photos. It's damn hard work and I've been inspired by some people along the way. does an amazing job giving exposure to new photographers on steemit by selecting work for the dailyphotoselection. I know how long it takes to make these posts happen and the quality of the work is sometimes / often exceptional and always original.
hands up mate. very positive impact on this community and a grafter too.
This actually did happen and I was quick enough to capture it, real life imitates art spontaneous moment
The Steemit Learning Curve
I think you've got to have a certain type of mind to get your head around Steemit so the 250,000 or so people on here may just be some of the smartest / weirdest and ahead of the curve people on the planet.. As for the superhero coders, witnesses who make all this stuff happen on steemit and the tools to go with it ! well I never, there's too many too mention ,
who is so helpful and is getting my witness vote (bandwidth restriction prevented it earlier this week tim,
,
(which always makes me think of Peter Griffin) !
@ I salute you all. If this tech can break even 1% of the power away from the banksters that's a result.. over 6% leads to 10%+ and as any major player will tell you, if (when) crypto takes more than 10% it's all over for the status quo and that my friends has given me something to believe in !! read my post about Universal Basic Income and BlockChain. it's a dead post now but you'll see what I'm saying and what I'm about. I've got involved wth minnowsupport on discord, unravelled streemian and follow steemtrail and minnowsupport. I've even dipped my toes into whaleshares and said hello on steemit chat, which to be fair is a bit like the old trollbox on poloniex. God rests it's tarnished soul.
Photography is one of my many passions and also one of my main contributions to the steemit community
Crypto Evangelism
It's contagious. I obtained a several BTCs a few years back, after initially dismissing them (when they were a dollar) as potentially gaming tokens for nerds to buy online magic potions with Ha ha - eat your words (and my hat) but it took me a while to really develop a real interest in crypto. I now use my extenisive experience of business mentoring to analyse crypto projects and have a fairly good knowledge of the top 50 coins. Not bad for someone who really learned all this with severe brain fog while recovering from a 9 month viral infection.. Yes, it's done me the world of good and it's really helped my brain re-wire itself after a particularly gruelling year ! I've also got 2 small daughters.. One is only 8 weeks old so my Steemit acount is actually older than her and I posted some of my early stuff from the side of her hospital bed as she slept, using my phone as a wireless hotspot. I'm really into the future. My first series of films for TV was all about 2050 and nobody mentioned BlockChain in 2004, someone must have been thinking about it. Satoshi...

Time to Celebrate
I'm just a lowly minnow (just about) having passed the 1million vests mark. I am a committed Steemian, e-cash, blockchain evangelist and I'm definitely here to stay. My first blog was about 2005 (outerground5) since then, I've had 10 years on facebook and watched it become sickeningly contrived (not the content) the way it's served up (YEUKKK). they're my friends .. yes all 300+ people who I actually know in the real life I live.. yet you decide who sees what ? Fck Off Mark, that's sht
I've had a tumblr with 900+ followers. I've got a twitter (still don't really get the point of twitter with 400+ followers) I've even got a 750+ instagram account.. it's kind of fun.. fake, selfie fun but I'm afraid they've all been neglected in favour of the sexy steemit with it's dynamic community and open ledgerness... I mean come on, there's no hiding here.. that's great and although I may never become a whale.. I think it would now take approximately 100 years to attain the whale status.. I really don't mind.. I'd be happy to be the minnow with 1,000 followers !!
