Ok, i was going through my account when i noticed a downvote of -19% from a comment i made in a post. i went to check the post and realized that the author upvoted my comment and several others. ok, worthy of note, i didnt upvote the comment;
secondly after discusing with some people they said maybe it is the number of words in the comments and i said i have made comments in a post before with only a word and there are post that the comment i made is more than a post.
third, if the vote was 'too high' on the comment, why take it out on me...why cant you go and meet the author and give him a guideline to work with? because when i made more than a hundred words comment, you didnt ask increase the vote or ask the author to.
my questions are very simple and i need honest answers.
how can i believe that i was not victimized by the downvote for a reason the person is not willing to share?
how does the steemit community check that the use of this powers are not abused?
what is the check on flagging or downvoting of comments that the author is not responsible for its upvotes?
why do minnows seems to be the main victims in this equation?
now, i made a mistake a week ago and got cautioned by some people and others downvoted the post. that was fair because though it was an honest mistake they didnt react to it that way. and i am greatly for those who gave a warning instead. now back to my point, what is my fault? if i am not told what i did wrong how is the future reoccurrence checked? this is just me, what about the many others who suffer this fate daily?
i am pleading to know why this action was taking. though i am new to steemit, i support a progressive and positive cause and i will always strive to do the best i can to make sure that i contribute positively to this community. i need to know why this action what taking against me. i hope the person responsible sees this post and render an objective explanation to it and i also hope that the management of this community sees this and address the issues of abuse of voting powers. cause at the long run, people get discouraged when they do their best and feel victimized on it. my reaction to a post has to be with my emotion towards it... nice to me could mean a million words while a million words to someone esle could just mean a word to another. people are dynamic.
i am grateful for your time. thank you
