I see there is an option to upvote one's own comment. I know this exists for a long time.
I have seen people upvote their own comment to generate SBD and Steem for themselves.
I tried it on my own account 2 days ago. And it works.
But now, especially after HardFork 19, this option to Upvote One's Own Comment should be disabled.
For now, instead of 40 votes of evenly spread voting power (unless one uses a slider) a user now has 10 votes at Full Power. Everyone's voting power has gone up 4x.
While the option to upvote one's own "Post" is good and should stay, the option to "Upvote One's Own Comments" should be disabled.
For this action generates money for an action that doesnt add value in any manner to the platform.
A Minnow could now simply make money, just by making 10 comments and later self-upvoting them at full power. Even upvoting his own "Thank You" replies would be sufficient.
If Minnow X's voting power is $0.50 and he upvotes 10 of his comments at full power everyday, that equals $5/day or $150 per month. Thats crazy.
If the option of Upvoting One's Own Comments is disabled, the Minnow would try and make Upto 10 New Posts a Day to use that extra Voting power for his own good or if he makes lesser than 10 posts, he would spend that voting power on curating someone else's work.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
PS: Just a suggestion
