Did you think we were gone? Jeff & I have had a major steemit slump! To get out of our funk, we decided to get outta the house and do something fun! Jeff has been dying to go see “Faster Than Light: the Dream of Interstellar Flight” at our local museum planetarium, so off we went!
But, before we watched the show, we had to walk through our world famous dinosaur collection! Have you seen the “Jurassic Park” movies? Jack Horner, Paleontologist, our local dinosaur man, was the advisor for all things Dino in the movies. Just a little tidbit. 😉
Jeff has never seen the Dino exhibit... he was in awe of the Montana T-Rex! It is a very rare specimen, made up of over 60% real bones!
After seeing all the incredible dinosaur exihibits, it was time for the Roman’s!
These exhibits inspired my homeschool kids to want to learn more about the Rise and Fall of the Roman’s. My daughter saw many similarities to the world she lives in now. I love seeing those little sparks. ✨
Calcatorian Crane
Gladiators
Battering Ram
They had some great interactive displays for us to explore the machines Roman’s used. Jeff tried to save the castle! But his wall was no match for the battering ram!
Finally, over the loud speaker, we hear the announcement. It was time for the Taylor Planetarium show, “Faster than Light”, narrated by Sean Bean.
This was Jeff’s favorite part of the day! To ponder the vastness of the Universe and how cats (and humans) can travel to our next possible interplanetary home... wow! There is much progress we need to make to be able to travel so far.
After the show, Jeff asked why humans aren’t more focused on such endeavors? We really aren’t that far away from the knowledge and technology to travel faster than light! Why isn’t it more of a priority? It seems obvious to a plastic LEGO cat that a huge shift in values is necessary for us to progress past this immature existence. Our potential is being wasted everyday. I could only smile and tell him I don’t know why humans do what we do. Fighting pretend battles, with real consequences. I shared with him my hope that humans continue to wake up, one by one, and move forward with peace and abundance for each and every life form in this wonderful universe. 💫
Oh wow that felt good to get out! Thanks for reading friends. Hope we made you smile today. Remember to change your perspective from time to time! It’s good for the mind, heart and soul.
