"Steemit – We Need To Talk"...Throwback Thursday of a Fellow Steemian's Post

A raw, uninhibited, and brutally honest blog post I found recently. It was posted about a month ago. And really struck a chord with me as I'm sure with many other Steemians.

So Who is The Author...

Goes by the Username of Hive account@zipporah. I have looked over and "digested" some of her blog content. And she seems like a really accomplished writer. Very articulate and a very vivid writer who expresses herself so clearly and eloquently.
I think she is a great asset to the Steemit community !!

Her Post...

It was in response to a blog post she had recently done. A really intimate and very sensitive look into a very sensitive subject. And doing it in a very courageous way. It detailed her life and her battle with depression and suicidal thoughts.
She put it all out there and it was just a really moving and inspiring post.

So Here Comes the Grumpy One...

The post goes on to talk about how she was upset her original blog post about her depression had received little exposure or accolades. And had fallen well short of her expectations considering the amount of time ( 3 days to draft it) , work, and passion she put in this post. So after a few days she decided to get a little bump with a Bot vote from "sneaky ninja". So she caved in and paid $5 for this.

Well..you can guess what happened next. Ole Grumpy Cat got whiff of this and the typical Meme telling the author they were in violation and had not been grumpy compliant and thus received a flag and downvote.

Her retort...

I commend Hive account@zipporah for not putting her head down and crawling off to the side like a defeated little puppy. She actually called grumpy cat out and really expressed her opinion about him and especially his unbelievable hypocrisy.
Of course many of us know this but if you don't...well the Grumpy one calls out people for using Bots like "sneaky ninja" only to Upvote himself $50, $70 or more in the same breath ( for a two line Comment).

Conclusion....

I think Hive account@zipporah aptly used a metaphor to describe Grumpy cat and his behavior or in this case misbehavior ; quote " Not only are you a self-proclaimed enforcer of laws you wrote yourself, you're no better than a crooked cop – the kind who pull you over, proudly hand you a citation, then take your wallet and empty it into their own, whistling as they walk off with a smirk, knowing you can't do a damn thing about it."

Pretty much sums it up perfectly.

I also think that Grumpy Cat should take it case by case when Flagging Steemians who use Bots like Sneaky Ninja. His main claim is people abuse it by using the Bot to make money with garbage and spam posts. Obviously, Hive account@zipporah 's post was far from garbage. It was excellent. So just another ongoing mistake Grumpy Cat keeps making with his self title of 'The Steemit Enforcer" :(
