I once made a humorous comment on the post of I told him that I didn't know the spelling of "blockchain" before I joined steemit. But the whole truth is; I didn't even know what blockchain was. But now, Steemit has changed all that.
Permit me; I'll be writing some of these in our local Nigerian creole language (Naija Pidgin). Una know say I be confam Naija boi naa. naija no dey carry last abeg.
The very first time I heard of the name "Steemit" was from the mouth of and believe me, it sounded gibberish. I quickly responded;
"wetin be steemit?"
Na so she come package tori give me about steemit. Omo, I come shout "shuo!!", dis kind thing make sense wella oo.
I finally joined Steemit in June, but for me, it was like sending a two year old child to a practical lesson on quantum mechanics, because I no even sabi how dis blockchain dey work. The first two months of my journey into steemit were like "mission impossible". Because, on the average, my posts made about $0.03 (some even made less. I once had a post that had absolutely $0.00). Omo, dis kind wahala fit make person comot mind for steemit oo, but thank God say I no comot.
When fate finally crossed my path with team Nigeria (
and a host of others. I hail una), my steemit life began resurrecting from the shadows of "neverland".
Before I proceed, make I give una a little tori about where I been grow up
The environment where I grew up was not too user-friendly for communication in fluent English. That could explain why I sucked at English. But I guess I'm picking up the fragments of my broken English life. Steemit has really unleashed that creative and writing acumen in me. I wouldn't say I've gotten "there", but I know I've left where I used to be.
The very first time I made over $3 on a post, o boi ee, see as belle come dey totori me. I no fit explain dat kind feeling. It was really awesome. No be small thing oo. That was when I realized that steemit is the place to be, and I've never regretted it.
Steemit has really given me access to people which naturally, judging from my background, I wouldn't have been privileged to relate with.
I made a little meme of my blockchain life before Steemit and my blockchain life with steemit. Abeg, make una no laff me oo. Na me package dis ogbonge meme come outside.
[Designed by me]
Permit me to say this, Steemit can only get better. As a matter of fact, the best is yet to come.
I would not end this post without acknowledging everyone that has helped me directly or indirectly in this journey of steemit. Their names are too numerous to mention here. They were part of the spine on which my "steemit cranium" rested upon. I'm grateful to you all. I throway salute give all of una. I also wan comot cap for oga for the brain wey he package give me. Now I don believe say talent dey inside me. Posterity no go forget una.
Una doh oo
Na Una Naija boy bring una dis oo.
Thanks for reading.
