What Steemit can offer us today and who can benefit from it? Now I will share with you my thoughts about it. So let's get started!
1. Content Creators
Let's take for example YouTube.
Imagine - you are creating interesting video content which you upload on YouTube to share with other people around the world. You gain views and subscribers from it, right? Popular channels have a lot of subscribers already (e.g. Pewdiepie - over 45 millions) and when they release a new video they receive not only a huge amount of views and subs, but also they gain money from ads in their videos. Their income can achieve millions of dollars in a single year!!! But what about other content creators who are new to YouTube? They can have a pretty good content on their channels but the are not popular enough yet, so what about them? Should they be rewarded for their job if the content is good? I think yes, they should be. They can use Steemit to post and promote their videos in different categories where Steem users will watch them and give the author their feedback. If they like your work, they upvote your post and you will earn money for your efforts and build a community around your channel here on Steemit and in the same time on YouTube your channel grows faster and becomes more popular. The same can be told abouth Twitch and other services.
2. Writers
Imagine - you are a writer and you have a good story for a book. But you are not pretty sure about it and if the potential publisher will be interested in releasing it too. What options do you have? You can start posting chapters of your work on Steemit and collect opinions from the users, e.g. do they like your story or not. If they do like it, then your new chapters will be upvoted and more people will know about your book and reward you with money. And that is even before you finished and released it - not bad, huh? You will see a fanbase growing around you and the book will become more popular. And when it's book is finished - you only have to publish it. This method was used by Dmitry Glukhovsky in 2002 when he first released his future bestseller Metro 2033 in the internet, chapter by chapter, and when it became very popular, it was published in 2005.
3. Journalists
You don't need to work for a newspaper or magazine anymore. You can publish your storys, interviews on Steemit and earn your living that way, and talk about topics you are interested in. Pretty simple. The only things you need are: good story and talent.
4. Artists and photographers
Almost the same situation as with the writers but they publish and discuss their paintings, photographs instead of books. Here they will receive reconnaissance, popularity and money. And after that they can even sale their artworks.
5. All of us
All of us can share anything that we like as well on Steemit – stories, jokes, recipes, mems, guides, news etc. That can be our hobby. We will form different communities by interest and receive rewards for our work and information.
In my opinion it's better and more interesting to work for yourself and do what you like and when you like and what you think is worth it. And I see a bright future for Steemit and the whole community which is growing very fast day by day. Steemit need a more userfriendly interface and have a easy surch tool to help find the desired topics and information. But we're still in beta afterall and I'm sure it will come very soon.
I hope it was interesting for you to read my thoughts about how people can use Steemit for their advantage. If you agree with me and have something to add – post it in the comments down below and let's share our ideas. And if you liked my post – upvote it, I'd very much appreciate it.
Thanks for your time and see you in the next one.
