So I've been thinking about the reach and influence factors of SteemIt, specifically in regards to how it compares with Facebook, and can't help but wonder what it will look like as businesses start to really use Steemit as a marketing/PR avenue.
On the one hand, I certainly hate the idea of SteemIt Being overrun with spammy advertising posts and the like. But on the other hand mainstream business adoption not only gives a social reach for consumers to really address business and influence their business practices, but also a significant sense of legitimacy to SteemIt (and thus STEEM) and a demand for STEEM/SBD in a more commercial sense which is excellent for growth and general adoption in the crypto currency world.
I'm curious on the thoughts of others on this subject... And predictions of the future of steem. How do you think the curation system would/could curb the spam factor? Could it lead to marketing wars between them dumping money into STEEM to power up and then flag each other? Could it cause a skyrocket in the cost of STEEM making it unattainable for minnows and dolphins?
Seems like a lot of possibilities, as an economy AND a social platform combined go. Thoughts?
