As you guys know, SteemFest² is happening THIS WEEK in Lisbon, Portugal!
Last year, organized the very first Steemfest in his hometown, Amsterdam.
It was a 3-day conference where Steemians from all over the world flew in to participate!
This year, it's going to be bigger and better - and I'm excited to be a part of it!
The Steemit community is so unique and supportive, and Steemfest will be an opportunity to meet up in person and spend some time with so many like-minded people.
SteemFest² will take place from 1 - 5th November, and of course I'll share my experience here on Steemit!
It starts today with some welcome drinks, then we will have 2 full days of conferences on thursday and friday, weekender trips without schedule on saturday and sunday, and finally the closing dinner sunday night.
Right now is an especially exciting time for Steemit.
Smart Media Tokens have just been launched recently, Steemfest is around the corner, and today Steemit totally re-branded and got a new logo + new look in green!
The community is thriving and growing - Steemit is evolving and we're all a part of it.
So arrived in Lisbon with

and
, ready to explore the city and of course excited for Steemfest.
We flew in from Hamburg in the evening, and what I'm saying in this video is "Steemfest - Let's Go!"
Afterwards, we went to the city center to explore Lisbon a little bit.
The city has quite a lot of intricate architecture and culture, and it seems like there are some interesting buildings at every corner.
But in contradiction to that, there are also a lot of old buildings that seem quite abandoned.
This contrast also has its unique charme, kind of like shabby chic.
Of course, we also tried the local cuisine!
We had lunch at a portuguese Restaurant, and of course we had to try the fresh fish!
It's true, the fish here really does taste great, but I'm excited to explore the portuguese cuisine even more at Steemfest!
As you guys know, I also have a sweet tooth - so obviously, I had to try some authentic, traditional pastel de Nata as well!
We actually went to a "fabrica de Nata", and the Nata there were truly from another world - but you will read about that later from Mr. Gourmet 😉
Here is just a little sneak peek from our food adventures:
Now, it's time for STEEMFEST- and I'm excited to meet Steemians from all over the world!
