It's been a great week here on Steemit and beyond. This blog will cover some of the achievements as well as some thoughts.
When I signed up to Steemit I did not know how long it would take before my account would be activated. I had read people saying it took weeks to get the actual account going. For me, it took me 3 days.
Then I waited a few days to introduce myself and uploaded my first blog to Steemit:
Greetings Steemit. I’m Soular ECryptz!
From there I waited a few days before I would begin to unleash my music and art, which was/is the main reason why I came to Steemit. I was thinking that if I posted on Monday by a certain time it would be better than posting during a weekend holiday. So, I began to post a song a day beginning on Monday.

During the week I posted a couple non-music/art blog posts:

Steemit Achievements and Thoughts
Being that this whole project is brand new I figured it would be a slow start. So, going in with no expectations helped because I haven't had that great of a start, but things are picking up. It's very difficult to get people's attention these days, and even though I've been posting on my website, Twitter, Minds, and all the various other places it's still be very hard.
I've bought upvotes, bought promotions, and etc. None of it really worth it.
However, I HAVE gained 60 followers, and a few people have listened to my songs so that's great. Still, posting on Twitter has been more benefitting. When I posted about the "Max Keiser and the Bitcoin Resistance" song Keiser retweeted me and had hundreds of listeners on my Soundcloud, because Soundcloud has embedded features for instant listening. People are too lazy to click a link to my DSound page to listen. So, Soundcloud and Twitter is still a more effective means of building an audience. I didn't want it to be because I wanted to solely be on decentralized projects like Steemit, DSound, and etc. There's still a lot of work that needs to be done for the new blockchain tech to become mainstream.
I'm still learning my way around Steemit. I wish DSound had an embedded player so people could just click listen and play right there. I also wish I could add images and the same layout in DSound as you can in Steemit. I've had to update my Steemit post in order to get it to be somewhat of how I want it to look. Still trying to figure that out.
I've managed to build up to 39 reputation in a week. I think it's because I go looking around at other people's blogs and comment. I can see why it's difficult to leave your own blog, but I think it's important to go beyond and seek out others.
I've managed to get 60 followers, and I've followed everyone back. I've followed a few others, too. One thing that irks me is that someone will follow me, and then I'll follow back, then a few will unfollow. What the hell is that all about? I don't have time to go and look for who's unfollowed me.
I've posted my fith song today. From here on the songs will be posted as they come. I had these five from before I joined Steemit, which is why they were released on a daily basis. From now on, when I can create a song/art it'll be posted as they come.
Anyway, it's been a great week. I'll be posting more over the weekend. I just wanted to recap for this week and let others know of my experience so far.
