4 Ways We Go Against Our Nature & How Steemit Changes That:
1. We Don't Cooperate:
First of all, it's in Human Nature to Cooperate. Let's take a look at the tribes of old.
Humans always cooperated, and that is why we evolved and other species went extinct.
Other animals had muscle, they had teeth, they had claws.
We had nothing.
The great Mamoths were hunted by us... because we cooperated. Humans are social and both hunter-gatherers and farmer communities thrived because they worked as one.
In today's world, we compete instead of cooperate.
Inevitably, this only brings us disadvantages. We get envious, we can't feel tranquility and happinness, ever fearing others will surpass us in menial things.
Humanity became competitive, and where we once could hunt Sabertooth Tigers, we can't even lose a computer game against our neighbour without getting a sour taste in the mouth.
Steemit makes cooperation vital. You can't get an audience if you don't rely on cooperation with other users.
You make content for other users to take value from, and you yourself take value from other users' work.
Steemit is a platform that rewards you for cooperation, and that is sublime.
2. We Work Too Much & Live Too Little:
Another point is that we work too much and live too little. We spend most of our lives working... and do we work to get the food to survive?
Hardly!
We work for many reasons, but mostly because you feel resigned and were programmed to feel "This is how life is".
Humanity was so deeply indoctrinated that we no longer see it as an option to turn our backs to this world of slavery to pursue a better life, close to nature, close to our loved ones and living life as it is supposed to be lived.
Indexes show happinness is at all times low, and yet Humanity persists with its habits.
Steemit can alter the way we live life. For example, third world countries can take a lot of value from this platform and others like it.
One or two upvotes from the right person can feed whole families.
The resources exist... we were made to believe we live in scarcity, but we don't.
3. We Are Materialistic Hoarders:
What do we need all of the latest gadgets in the world for? Why do people spend huge sums in the latest sports car or even on something that is gold plated just for the sake of it being expensive?
Why do the very rich pay thousands and sometimes even millions to eat those expensive meals with gold bits sprinkled on it if that Gold comes out without being digested as it has no nutritional value?
Why are status objects so important?
Because we live in a society that is rotten to the core in how we seem to take more pride on our possessions than on the quality of ourselves, on how we behave.
Steemit has a huge community of people that is fed up with how things are working right now, and I truly believe it can help change society.
4. We Live With a Mindset of Scarcity:
Finally, this is at the root of most of our problems today.
Is there scarcity?
Well, ask yourself this:
How did we live before robots started automating all of our tasks?
We lived thanks to industrial machines and contraptions.
How did we live before the Industrial Revolution?
We lived thanks to Ancient World discoveries such as the plow and more.
How did we live before that?
We hunted and worked for about 5 hours a day... granted sometimes we would spend days chasing a large animal, but when we killed it we would stop for a few days.
So, why do we still believe everything is scarce after ALL of these technologies were discovered.
More importantly... HOW do we work 8 Hours a day and sometimes more, if we invented a BAZILION of things that make work easier for us if we before all of these inventions didn't have to hunt or work for 8 hours a day.
I'll tell you why this happens... because there are a lot of people out there living from other's work.
And because if you're busy you don't think about how the current state of society goes against our human nature itself.
Think about it.
It is up to you to think about it.
I may help you out by talking to you, by explaining... I may "preach", but it is up to you to read, to understand and to see how Steemit and all of the beautiful things that are coming in this decentralized age can change the world in a way that you never dreamed possible.
We are living in an age where we can witness the rebirth of manking.
WE CAN BE HUMANS AGAIN!
