STEEMIT Revolution: It's NOT Communism!
Communists are going "Redder" than ever with this Crypto Craze. But get a grip people, Cryptocurrencies aren't all about people craving for Communism.
Lately, through my promotion of STEEMIT and Crypto & Blockchain technologies, I've been hearing a lot of people saying this sounds just like Communism 2.0.
This is plain wrong... I'm no Communist. I don't have a political party, but I guess you could say I'm a Capitalist, just not the kind of Capitalist we have right now.
These savage capitalists are all the things communists call them, and then some, but I believe in the free market. Problem is capitalists these days aren't about the markets, but about the aritificial creation of numbers and riches.
Having that said, here's why people think Crypto is Communism 2.0. and how it is not.
Decentralized Sounds Like Commie to Me:
One of the things that make people yell "COMMIE" is repeating the word decentralized. People hear that as "nobody owns anything", which is exactly the opposit because with decentralization, you own what you own!
In the centralized system, you "own" your bank account, but in reality... the bank owns it. And we all know how banks work.
Now, people often mix up decentralization and our hatred for the CENTRALIZED FIAT system as Communist Rage. In fact, it is not.
There are many communists who are a fan of crypto, sure, but not all fans of crypto are communists. I'm certainly not.
Every one has a different opinion, and I'm personally against communism, I think it's proven that it doesn't work.
I respect communists and I think some of them really have good reasons to support it, but I just don't see that happening, and normally people respect my view.
But if you promote taking power away from the centralized fiat system, you're suddenly as Red as Mao Tse Tung himself.
Centralized System: If you're a fan of it, here's your HOW TO Guide for Crypto!
Finally, if you are still conviced that Decentralized is more than a word and represents a good thing, well then you have centralized Cryptocurrencies.
Heck, I'm sure the current SHARKS (see the definition on any of my previous posts) are all happy you want to invest into central crypto, and I'm also sure they have their arms up to their elbows in some of those currencies' asses.
For instances, how about you invest in Ripple. I'm sure it will go high next year, and that it is going to be one of the cryptos the SHARKS will point out as being less dangerous to the herd.
I don't see why you'd want centralized cryptos though, but that is a subjective opinion.
I was very clear in that I find decentralization one of the best things of the current systems, cryptos and blockchain in general.
Global Collaborativism: Time for a New Shift in the Paradigm
You may have noticed a pattern in my posts - I always talk about the fact we are living in an age where the paradigm is shifting.
We're living in a time of adjustments, and things will get very hot soon - A storm is coming, and we must navigate it to reach the "calm" afterwards.
Having said that, you shouldn't think about Capitalism / Communism, but rather accept that the path to something else is being paved.
Maybe we'll have a new chain of thought in the order of "Global Collaborativism" or something.
We know we have the means to implement a better society model now, so why shouldn't we have the ambition to do so?
Something on RBE: What are RBEs?
Let me tell you what may be Communism 2.0 instead. I think that would be the RBE, or Resource Based Economy.
For those of you who don't know the concept behind Resource Based Economies, here's what you can do to ensure you get to know it inside out:
- Investigate The Venus Project;
- Investigate about its Solutions and Problems;
It basically aims to be an Utopian society, but I can see a lot of problems myself (even though the Venus Project does indeed sound good, there are some things that worry me.
If you're reading me and you're a Communist, don't flag me out of spite and go check this out right now. You'll thank me.
Comment Time: What's Your Political Vision and How Does It Apply to Crypto?
So, finally, I want to hear your opinion. I want to test the waters of how my audience on here thinks the future should be, what's their vision and how their own Utopia looks like.
I also would love to hear about your thoughts on the new things Crypto can bring, and finally if anyone of you has some thoughts on Centralized vs Decentralized Crypto, I'd love to hear them as well.
That's all for now.
Cheers!
