Hello Steemians!
I wanted to share some news I found about Nevada being the first state to ban blockchain taxes. The new law that was in the legislative process back in March was just approved by Governor Brian Sandoval this week.
Vegas is already making a strong stance as the first US State to ban the blockchain taxes. It should be interesting to see how the federal government and IRS responds to this as it seems to be out of their control. I'll be very curious how other states and other countries will respond as Bitcoin and other digital currencies become more widely accepted.
I recently moved from Seattle to Las Vegas because the cost of living is so much better here. After living in Vegas for just over a year I've noticed more Bitcoin ATM's popping up in different areas of Vegas more frequently.
Its becoming obvious that Vegas is embracing Bitcoin with open arms and has long term strategies to implement the use of Bitcoin throughout Vegas on the horizon.
Combine this news with the new WAGERR ICO and it looks like things are definitely brewing with gambling and betting with bitcoin.
If anyone else has any news on this or wants to share their opinion please leave a comment. Do you think we will see Bitcoins being used in Casinos in the not so distant future? Or maybe Casinos will decide its much cheaper and cost effective to simply dump the chips and create their own digital chips/coins. Time will tell. My guess is we will likely see a gradual shift into Bitcoin.
I will share more news and updates about this as I learn more but at this point I'm sure many of us can use our imagination of how Bitcoin will be used in the biggest gambling state in the Country. Take care everyone!
