Taking a look at Steemdata.com I noticed that we are very close to 800k accounts on Steemit, and that there was a huge jump in new accounts!
Now I made a post in the past comparing Facebook user growth vs. Steemit user growth and you can see Steemit seems to be following a similar pattern as Facebook!
1 million — End of 2004.
5.5 million — End of 2005.
12 million — End of 2006.
20 million — April 2007.
50 million — October 2007.
100 million — August 2008.
250 million — July 2009.
500 million — July 2010.
750 million — July 2011.
1.01 billion — September 2012.Source
Conclusion We are definitely growing at a great pace, and even if it is not consistent right now.. If it was consistent at 20k/day we would have 7.3 million new accounts in 1 year!
So remember that growth can explode fast!!
