Since I've been on Steemit I have monitored how the site is doing via Hypestat. This uses Alexa data to show visitors and the rank compared to other sites. The other day on there I saw a graph from another site that looked interesting. It's gone now, but I managed to find it. The site is SimilarWeb. It has some cool graphics to display the data.
I wonder if it is using different data as it shows a lower rank than Hypestat. Both show a peak in visitors around August.
SimilarWeb has some extra data on where people find their links to Steemit and where they go onto, along with search terms and social media links. As with a lot of these sites you have to sign up to get more details, but I don't feel the need to give them my details or pay.
It was great to see the Steemit traffic growing over the middle of this year, but we seem to have peaked now. Coverage on Wired made little difference. Perhaps we will get some celebrities joining up who will tell their fans. Steemit is still a minnow in web terms. A few hundred thousand users is not that big really. Even Tsu got to a few million before imploding. At least Steemit is hard to kill, so I hope it can continue regardless as I'd hate to lose this community.
I'll buy guitar picks for Steem Dollars
