Steemreports doesn't seem to want to give me the full year, but the last six months are probably fairly representative. I follow some of these people, but I get a fair few votes from others too. I'd just like to thank some of them:
is someone I've met a few times. He has been active on the UK blogging scene for years.
is a Steemit stalwart who has been generous to me and many others.
is a artist from Italy who I finally met in person at Steemfest.
- I don't know
, but thanks anyway.
has been a loyal supporter too. He and others have been kind enough to set up automatic votes for my posts via services such as Steemvoter
and
have been with me since the days of Tsu.
You will notice that I don't vote up my own posts. This is a personal choice to free up more voting power for others. I can appreciate that many minnows will do this to make a few more cents, but for those with many thousands of SP it just looks like greed if they are earning well anyway. The same goes for voting bots. If you earn many dollars per post then be grateful for that and leave something in the pot for others. I've seen some extreme cases of this sort of greed using their own or proxy accounts. Often it's for content that has no value to anyone, let alone the thousands it is making them. Maybe some whales will take action to reduce what such people make, but it's their choice. Steemit is a form of anarchy. It's up to community members if they want to police it, but if we want to see it succeed then I think we need some form of justice. Smaller players may not dare to flag abuse for fear of retaliation.
We are working in a new type of economy with no central authority. There is bound to be misbehaviour, but I think there are enough good people to make it work. The next year or so will be the test of that.
Steem on!
I'll buy guitar picks for Steem Dollars
If this post is over seven days old you can vote up one of my newer posts to reward me.
