I realize that many people prefer video, either to present their ideas, or to pull in information.
For me, however, I comprehend info much better when I read it.
So what I am asking is that the folks that post their videos here ALSO include a written summary of the video. Some other things that would add value to your video blog to Steemit:
- an outline of the argument
- a list of sources and links
- transcribe your best lines!
- screencaps of graphs and other visual data
I am a speed reader, and I also am very short of patience, so I may not even view a vid all the way through...especially if the presenter goes into a lot of tangents before moving into the meat.
Like I said, I understand that many other people like the video presentation over reading, but I hope to convince you that you will reach a wider audience, as well as provide searchable content for Steemit, by adding some informational text to your video posts!
In addition, I can save information when it is in text form...maybe even with a link for redistribution BACK to the original video!
Obviously, this doesn't apply as much to artistic or story-telling vids, although I still think summaries would be better all the way around.
