Throw me back, I'm not ready yet!
So, a whopping 25 days ago I posted this article - On the shoulders of plankton... dreaming of minnowhood in while I laid out the plans for my journey to being a minnow (500-1000SP) and what I needed to do in order to get there.
I think it's about time for a recap and a progress report, don't you?
Starting point
I began the year at 380 SP and aiming for a total of 500SP by the end of the year. This meant an average daily gain of 0.329SP and at 5 days in I wasn't quite there. But it was the start of the year, I'd just got back into posting and rewards weren't really landing yet.
And now?
Right now I sit at 388.518SP, technically 30 days in though it is only 3am...
So that's 8.518 gain in 30 days. 0.284SP per day
In short, I need to up my game even more!
Where am I going wrong?
If you look at my posting history, it's sporadic. I bang out a bunch of posts, then disappear for a few days. I need to get into a routine of posting regularly.
On the flip side though, I've had some posts that I was really proud of, such as A Carrier is Born which earned me an 
What's coming up?
Well, I have a few post titles/ideas on sticky notes on my monitor. I need to get round to writing the posts but they should make for informative articles. I also have some tutorials/learn with me articles in the pipeline. Right now though we're in the midst of the "Week from Hell" which is slowly turning into the "Fortnight from Tartarus" (Tartarus is the Greek hell, see, you learned something - maybe?). If I can manage to write a post about that without it turning into a massive rant or upsetting me more than I already am then you might get to read about it.
I'm also thinking about bringing back my daily competitions, in which I give away all of the SBD from the post and all you have to do to enter is upvote it. It would at least get me here every day.
Since this is likely to be a year long quest I suppose I should get a signature which represents this. Who wants to make something graphically sexy for a plankton aspiring to be a minnow? Should I run a competition?
