The concept of steemit is nice, but nice things are never true. Just like promises! It is just a up front lie in disguise to make one accept it as a answer for the now. To further explain what I meant.
1 - Block Chains could be mined and traded for actual money. So by being on steemit, we are part of the block chain and it works it magic and we get paid because someone else where actually bought steem or steem power and that gets moved around between the steemit community. No money in = no money out. Duh!!!
2 - Whales hold all the loot already and only a small amount is being passed around. So relating this to real life, like getting a real paying job. Shortcuts are always available for a job and this can be done by networking with someone at job you want. They refer you in and if they are part of upper management (whales), then you'll be at a way way better starting point then the average Joe off the street who applied. Understand where I am coming from now.
3 - Steemit is no better then any other social media platform, maybe even worse, being as deregulated as it is. Us minnows are probably the suckers who got fished in to promote the whales wealth. It is probably also a good idea to make fake accounts to upvote post or bots to do the dirty work and write dumb post on steemit.
4 - If no one truly controls steemit, it is probably a better to turn this into the next silk road for online trading of black market goods. My 2 cents!!
