When it comes to steemit growth, everyone plays a role. No one does more than the other because you can't measure what each one does!
If you want to understand the above fully this or read this:
The mere fact that you are on steemit today is evidence that everyone who forms part of the steemit ecosystem, played his or her role in promoting steemit growth.
Every tiny action of yours whether curating, creating content, engaging in the comments, offering a service with, DMs & steemit chat rooms, building an app etc plays its role in promoting steemit on the outside; so keep at it!
Even if your only current goal is to grow & develop in your steemit journey, that is steemit-growth in the making.
Never think, you aren't promoting steemit and you have to imitate others who are making posts about steemit meetups & sign-ups.
Steemit meetups are only one way of promoting steemit and there tons of ways!
First, your constantly created content rank in the search engines and may have brought someone onto steemit.
I eventually joined steemit by means of the search engines even though, i knew of steemit before that eventual blog that drew me in to sign up. On that particular day, joining steemit was targeted and organic, so the prior awareness i had about "steemit" did help but an organic post from the search engines stamped it for me as that steemit post answered exactly what i was looking for, plus, it was timely and above all, i connected with the content author.
So if you decide to develop in your own steemit journey first by creating researched content etc, no qualms; as down the road, you will become more effective when you decide to actually speak to people about steemit.
I went through the same road and it is very valid to say; "as you improve in your learning about steemit and beyond" etc, it improves you own conviction about the steem platform and expands your vision on the true & full extent of the potential of steem technology and this conviction rubs off on others, when you eventually talk about steemit to them. This is the simple truth!
So use this post to draw some inspiration and never feel you aren't doing much; for you are! Bottomline is, promoting steemit takes different forms, so no need to measure what others do because the simple truth is, there is no tool to measure these things!
Bone of Contention
If you are a newer steemian and you are really getting passionate about talking to others about joining steemit, like family and friends etc; steemit is becoming more of a home now, with many amenities to make your job easier and one such amenity is Idea Factory. It has lost activity lately but it is still very functional and one reason is:
i am there and i am your fan!
Hahaha, i may tell you to develop your own journey first; but again different strokes for different levels of gifts. Overall, i can help with maximizing your efforts, by helping you, when it comes to brainstorming ideas.
I really care about YOU, so my methods with developing ideas will be very much in line with who you are and if you aren't ready just yet, we will help you get ready!
I do believe in pacing; so i may not be as hasty as you but we will get somewhere special all the same.
"Hasty" is not a bad thing! "Hasty" may simply need direction!
Note: You can also join in on this discord channel to help, by means of conversation & engagement as the number on the server grows (with more 600 steemians currently). Idea Factory is also a branch of the community and i am looking to revive engagement and activity on the server, so please comment below, if you would want to be Admin on there and help with engagement and direction.
For instance (Idea Factory)
Recently i saw a newer steemian from the Philippines , post about his escapades with beat-boxing around the Philippines. In that post, he had a special beat-box video, joyfully giving shout-outs to steemit etc So, i left him a simple comment admonishing him to bring in his beat-boxing community on steemit and the process was simple!
I simply told him, that we could do a small contest involving these non-steemians. The concept will involve having them do a simple beat-box steemit shoutout video, upload it to YouTube, then come upload it to steemit in an intro-post, to get a small contest prize.
Then to help matters, i had him add me to a quick Facebook group chat, where we had quick talks with the group and based on the last updates, some have signed up.
I did something with , without being physically present at their yearly software hackathon. I simply appeared in a video conference; taught the CEO of
about steemit; have them add "steemit" to their event as one of the sponsors; had
grace the event with more steemit presence and arranged for these participating tech-startups, consisting of 5 software developers each, to join steemit, to talk about the Hackathon and get additional prizes.
Now more than a month later, i still found a recent sign-up from one of the participants at the event. You can visit him here!
What am i saying?
Join Idea Factory, if you need help with brainstorming ideas when it comes to building visions, dreams, adjust the world, steemit growth, personal development, steemit post ideas and ideas for effectively promoting steemit to others.
Another branch of the community that i am looking to revive is:
Hooray Brigade.
Well, this is a venture designed to speed newer steemians especially, to "steemit knowledge and knowledge in general", by using a core aspect of the steemit ecosystem: the comments!
It is simple! Create a stir of greatness by yourself; with your fingers only, by leaving a positive or hooray-type comment, all over steemit!
So you can look out for unanswered questions in the comments, while reading posts and help these ones find answers to their questions.
These unanswered questions can be questions about life or about something or about steemit and finding answers to these questions, will not only fix someone but will help you "mine with your mind" better, speeding up your "steemit knowledge", personal development and personal growth.
You will also have helped keep steemit a home!
Plus, i look forward to supporting such comments with a measure of upvote, so joining Hooray Brigade, will allow you to submit the URL to these types of comments, so that i can visit them.
If you are a newer steemian, one solid way of learning about steemit is by engaging in the comments, looking to answer possible steemit FAQs. Now, you may not know the answers but you can find the answers out and teach it, by returning an answer in the comments.
Note: Hooray Brigade is also has "UNTALENTED" as its theme & #untalented is an entire curriculum:
- Exercise freedom
- relegate reservations
- flaws allowed
- we are genius
- everyone is a winner
- no losers
- uncondemning
- sense in nonsense
- sift the bad to look for good in it
- dirt is good to Mr/Mrs Soap
- abolishing smart, ugly, bum
- etc
So you will be joining Hooray Brigade, the "UnTalented" theme applies!
I shall pause....
Here are some more fun ideas, that you can emulate. I call it fun, because you can apply it, without much effort! Here:
Steps
1. Print these freely or make edits and print:
2. Dress Gucci & pocket your new business cards

3. Strategically give them freely away

4. If you want to print Gucci shirts, freely use this:

My community effort is part of what i do as a steemit witness, thus, the use of the hashtag (witness category).
If you would want to vote for my witness, click here, then type in"steemgigs" in the first search box! You don't need voting power to vote for a witness!

OR
Consider choosing @surpassinggoogle as your proxy, to help you with choosing your witness votes. To do this, visit https://steemit.com/~witnesses then type in "surpassinggoogle" in the proxy search box as seen below!
