Its been a long road to becoming a dolphin, I joined this amazing platform in April of 2017 with no blogging skills and terrible grammar skills. I have met so many nice friends here and that is what kept me going!
I know a lot of people that gave up during the bear market we have had in the price of steem. When I noticed that the payouts gave me more steem tokens I could see my steem power going up faster than when steem was a lot higher, that is why Invested more of my time and would buy some on the market each and every week.
WHY POWER UP?
It feels so good to be able to give nice upvotes to people that are less fortunate and work their butts off for a few pennies on their post.

My advice is finding like-minded people and communities, make tons of good comments and follow the people that acknowledge and appreciate your stopping by there post! When someone leaves a comment on my blog they will get a reply and a little upvote to show them I appreciate them.
When I have time, I like to check out the blogs of my commenters, this has been a great way to help out the people that support me and I find awesome content to curate.
One thing I can say about this platform is that it is always evolving and we have some top-notch developers working in the background that have confidence in Steemit!
