Feel like 1,000sp will be a big deal when I reach it and I'm starting to get there. Just a few minutes ago I looked over some of my earnings to figure out how much I could power up and it was just enough for me to break 900sp. Another step closer in my climb to reach my goal of 1,000sp.
Yes for those that look at my account I am sitting on more steem and SBD, but it's what I purchased with fiat that I might have to pull out due to a very large unexpected bill to replace our heating system. I'm doing everything possible to earn the $14,000 but there is a chance I might need to pull that money and don't want to deal with powering down. As of now I've never powered down or pulled 1 penny out of Steemit that was earned here. Really plan to keep it that way for a long time.
Only explained that as the question does get asked of me on a semi regular basis lately, so there you have it. We are living like we are broke to try and save money so I can keep that money in Steem. It takes some dedication and it's inconvenient, but sometimes some sacrifices are worth it when you have long term goals.
Climbing to 1,000sp
As I said in my last post I think that The Time Is Now we need to be focused in our actions and play each game like it's the playoffs. Right now we have a massive opportunity to grow our accounts with lots of SP while steem is cheap. These prices very well never be seen again after the next jump in price. Last time the floor was around 70 cents, now it seems to be around $1.25-1.35. So next time maybe it's $2.25 for the new floor...whatever it is you will be wishing you earned and purchased more while prices were this low. Trust me I'm still kicking myself for not investing $1,000 at 70 cents which I debated and then held off for a few weeks and the price jumped, then I assumed it would go back to the 70 cents...instead it went higher. I lost a ton of SP that could have been in my account because I delayed buying when steem was that low last year. Worse the amount of SP I could have earned if that had been in my account for the last year.
So now I am focused on climbing up to 1,000sp with earnings and then hopefully once the boiler system and electrical work that needs to be done is finished I will be able to convert the money in my account into even more SP. It will just be another rung on the much bigger ladder that I am climbing towards becoming a Dolphin.
Titles mean nothing...
I don't care so much about the title Dolphin for myself, but rather the Voting Power level that it means you have. The ability to influence and shape the future of those around me for the better. To reward those producing great content that are largely ignored right now.
You can keep the name, I just want the ability to actually make a difference with my votes. So to this end I will keep powering up and encouraging others around me to do the same. I will keep climbing up the ladder one step at a time trying to get to my goal of Dolphin.
