I heard about steemit through a friend of a friend, and I ended up joining that day. I joined it originally because I heard "You can make money doing this !" but that isn't why I ended up staying. I found an amazing community within this website, a network of people who really care about each other. Most (or all) of you don't know this, but when I first created a Steemit account I was depressed. I'd had a really hard year, and it was taking its toll on me. Because of the people I have met, that has made a turn for the better. Through Steemit, I found some of the most amazing people, and come across some spectacular opportunities thanks to these people.
No matter how hard my day has been, or how down I am about something that has happened, I log onto chat and it's an instant pick me up. As much as I love almost everyone that gets on chat, there are a special few that I look forward to meeting.
