I plagiarized content ALOT and today I have come forward asking the steemit community to forgive me.
My story:
I started steem in April of 2017 as a way of speaking my mind and making a somewhat of a side hustle. Things were going great. I experimented with quotes at first then I started to write a few articles. One of those articles was about AI and you can say It was somewhat successful. I ended making nearly $45 bucks that day and that was the problem.
At the time I cared less abot the number of upvotes and more about the payout it gets me. So a post landing me $45 bucks was a HUGE deal. I continued writing posts. Some were successful. Others flopped or didn't get viewed by anyone. But I never say a post reaching as high of a payout as the post about AI.
As I became less and less passionate to write, I turned to any ways I could find to make a quick buck. I will agree I was greedy at the time and I all was thinking about was money. I tried services like minnowsupport and randowhale but those never subsidized actual upvotes from real people.
This all seemed to change ,however, when I saw an account by the name of @crypto-p . The account would post several videos from youtube everyday and would make up to $500 a week. I was bored and willing to try anything so I gave it a try.
Yes I made money and yes it felt good but never as good as watching others complement you for your work and that's where I am today.
I started to write again the last few days and have seen that people are willing to read my content so yes I have been proven wrong content should not be rated depending on the payout.
That is my journey. I hope it provides my fellow steemians an incentive not to plagiarize. Trust me It might seem rewarding but It's really not.
