Not long ago I was glad that I achieved 50 followers in 20 days and 10 days later am ecstatic than ever!
30 days and 100 followers is a big deal for once a nobody like me.

Reward value is decreasing!
Okay, I need to give some background to make it more comprehensible.
During the meet, I had a very interesting conversation with 
Of all the questions I asked him there was one very interesting part when he asked me :
What is the maximum reward you have seen on any post on trending wall?
Me trying to show my interest and observation skills :P quickly replied about $1500-$1800 maximum. He then smiled and said
"when I first joined the platform the top 10 trending post was above $10000 next 10 were at about $5000 and so on!"
I was like, Are you kidding me? , This can't be!
Trust me I had a very hard time believing it.
Then instantly I thought, this is not good at all. I mean the creative contents we toil hard to write today is not of value what it used to be and we are not rewarded justly!
I kept this question aside and asked almost all the ones I brought with me to the meet and he answered me very patiently.

Why Decreasing Reward value is a Good Thing
I went back home and started thinking how is that possible!
So I opened the profile of
FOR ALL MINNOWS: He also started just like you did and today he sits on a dolphin/whale level just by posting his thoughts and NOT INVESTING A PENNY. So, you can too reach his level but patience is of utmost importance for that!
You can invest too but that's another story.
Back to the topic
I found his post : Change Makers #1: The story of Nikola Tesla.
He was rewarded with $900.38 for that (Awesomely written!)
The rewards were:
354 SBD and 315 STEEM POWER (This blew my mind!)
We can only imagine being rewarded with such large steem power!
But I noticed something else on his page:
Here SBD is same but STEEM POWER is 83?
Now I understood that this was happening due to increase in the value of Steem token.
The value of 1 steem token on the post date was USD 1.1252 and today it is USD 4.35.
There is no discrimination in posts done by early adopters and new joiners on this platform.
If your content is good you will be rewarded just like everybody!
This decrease in the number of steem tokens rewarded is due to increase in the number of users of the platform and this is a good news for all the users today. Why you ask?
We all know this platform is challenging other social networking platforms and is winning too.
Winning because since you've joined here you are not as active on Facebook as you used too. Are you?
We have north of 250000 posts and comments daily on the platform. Source This number is going to increase exponentially in near future.

We have around 60000 daily active users on Steemit and with the world recognizing the power and utilities of steem blockchain this number is going to increase drastically.

As the number of users increases, we will see the value of steem token increasing and that means even the new account holders with just 20-30 steem in their wallet will be having a great time.
What can we do to increase the value of steem?
If you are not having enough steem power right now but you still want the value of your wallet to increase you should promote the platform amongst your friends and let the word out that there is a social networking platform that pays its userbase to post creative contents.
You should post awesome original contents and once rewarded for those you can tell your friends what you have earned to clear their doubts.
Instead of always withdrawing SBD you can convert them into steem and power up as this helps in increasing the value of Steem token and also increases your power over the platform.
People from India may have noticed that Facebook has started broadcasting commercials on television.
