So, I've been on Steemit for a little over 2 weeks now. I have accumulated about 45 followers and approximately $3.37 cents. My content is professional, educational, easy to read, and positive. However, after youtube-ing how steemit works, I have found that there is a labyrinth of hoops you have to jump through to be "seen" and be successful on the site. It seems one would literally have to spend all day chasing down blogs, upvoting, or "finding" blogs for submission to, 1. gain a following and 2. make money.
The site is difficult to navigate, hard to write on and not easy to navigate. Searching for friends isn't easy and there is not a complete list of hastags from which to search either. You literally are left to sift through a bunch of not so good stuff to find content that is worth reading/watching/seeing.
Maybe I just need a bit of advice or encouragement. I like the game and want to play, but am struggling with not finding and audience and not finding my "tribe".
Any help would be appreciated.
