Not that many, really
Despite the fact that I have accounts on most of the well known social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, Flickr, YouTube and probably a dozen others I've already forgotten about, I only really use just a couple of them. Most of them I don't use at all. They're mostly a waste of time to me, really. At least from a consumer's point of view.
When I use a social network, I try to use it solely to my benefit. Be it quickly texting a friend or communicating a group project at school. Nevertheless, there are times when I'm not really feeling like doing anything else than watching YouTube videos. Mainly as a substitution to traditional television, though.
Which are the ones I use, then?
- Facebook - Mostly because all of my friends are there. I try to avoid scrolling the news feed as much as possible. I use Messenger often, though.
- Instagram - Semi-actively as of now. I would like to do more photography. Maybe build up a following, we will see.
- LinkedIn - Only passively. I log in from time to time to refuse a job offer.
- YouTube - This is the one I spend the most of my time on. Listening to music or watching videos is the main thing here for me.
Steemit might be the game changer here
