My Experience with Steemit thus Far

I have been on Steemit since August 2016, and I started off as most do with no following on here, and a hope to grow my blog and create an audience. I never thought I would reach 2k followers on Steemit, but here I am and it is all thanks to you, the people who read my blogs, up-vote them and share them. So it is to all you 2k, who have joined this platform, many on my recommendation via youtube or twitter. I showed you the door but you decided to walk through it.

I joined mainly because I saw an opportunity to spread the information and the truth that I have been spreading online on other platforms since 2012. I have tried writing books, protesting, making youtube videos, writing blogs, tweeting, using gab.ai, using BitChute, using DTube, using Freedom.social, using just about every tool that has been given to us to fight back against the enemy. However one of the best tools to generate self funding to use to fight back is Steemit. The powers that should not be fear independent wealth, and they fear a rising independent media that is not controlled. They tried to stop us by removing the youtube ads, when that didn't work they tried straight up censorship. That also did not work. All it has done is move about 8% or so of my audience to follow me on Steemit and other platforms like Bitchute or DTube. Every time YouTube / Google censors a video or removes monetization for no reason, it just moves more and more people over to other platforms. If they keep it up my steemit following will be as large as my Youtube following.

As for Facebook, I may log into Facebook about once a week. Steemit has killed any desire I had to use that platform, why would I pay Mark SuckerBerg in my data for use of his crap platform that censors everything and gobbles up all the data for their own monetary reward? No, no one should be using facebook and I have told all my friends on FB to move over to Steemit like 100 times. One day they will wake up and move over.

As I started using Steemit, it quickly became my favorite platform and still is. I know there have been lots of problems lately, such as constantly seeing "transaction error" when I hit post on an article, but the article still posts. However I am sure these bugs will be fixed soon, just as the slow network was fixed, not this steemit platform is right back up to speed is it not? So I am sure the bugs will disappear and the audience using Steemit will just continue to grow larger. Why? Steemit is uncensorable which makes it way better than just about every major platform like facebook, also Steemit rewards you for your own data, something none of the major platforms currently do. Facebook = no reward, YouTube = only rewards if you meet certain ridiculous guidelines (I never do and I am lucky if my videos or not removed entirely), Reddit = no rewards as far as I know. With society being "gamified" as @CorbettReport showed a long time ago, platforms that reward people for their use ARE the future of social media, things like Facebook are the past.

So as far as Steemit goes I will continue to use this platform for every video I post, and I will continue to promote this platform to my followers. I will also ask if you are new to this blog, or if you are one of my youtube subs, please consider following me on steemit. Every up-vote helps spread the information to new people on steemit, and to people online. The upvotes also help me generate my own funding to eventually be able to do this journalism work full time. I do my best to use my voting power on here to upvote other truthful work as well so more people are awoken by the great articles posted on this platform. I have brought many other YouTubers, journalists and more to this platform, and I will continue to do so moving forward as the more people on steemit the better it is for all of us that post here.
