Today I'm a bit pissed off with Steemit.
( Source )
I just do not understand how there are people who can generate a number of valuable votes in an almost magical way and by practically doing nothing...
I will explain you what I’ve seen today.
As a runner, the "running" tag is one of the most recurred by my side here in steemit and at least a couple of times a day I usually take a look or contribute by commenting or posting on the subject.
Today I was browsing the new posts published in that subject and I had a look on one that appeared to be familiar to me.
The post was simply a video of what seemed to be a person running at a full speed on the surface of a lake ...
The video is nothing outstanding and you can easily understand that there is some trick in there, similar videos have been made on the topic and, specifically this one you can easily find it on youtube Walk on water , to remark also that it is quite old (uploaded on youtube in 2010).
Putting aside that the steemit colleague who uploaded the post did not name neither source nor author, what really shocked me is that this is not the first time he has published it.
Actually, I was curious to know if the person who published it was or not a runner and then follow him or not consequently, so I went straight to his blog and noted that the same article was published repeatedly and almost automatically by the same author, exactly the same, without any additional, nothing more nothing less, exactly equal.
As I said, almost automatically, almost once a week since long, this friend publishes the same "shit" and gets a good $ for the post every time !!!
Even worse, I see that the guy is dedicated to perform the same operation with more low quality post, same thing every week, there is no value, no message, nothing changes !!!! . Just collect $!
To tell you the truth, I do not know how to take it but I think it is an insult for the whole Steemit community.
Personally, I think it is an abuse and a shame.
This kind of behavior totally degrades the platform and it is really a risk for the proper development of steemit as a serious content platform.
I’m launching a couple of questions:
- What are the tools that steemit has in order to detect and fight against these low value behavior?
- What should we do as steemit users ?
Sorry but I am really worried about.
P.S: I have published this post in Spanish as well so it reaches more people, please do not detect it as something already published.
