This applies to so many things in life, and I realized being here on steemit is no different.
We all want followers, we all want STEEM and STEEM POWER, as much of it as we can get, and some go great lengths to get it.
I’ve laid out my intentions here a couple of times and quality is what I’m seeking. I’m here to provide value, but only to those that are looking for the specific value I have to offer.
I’m clear on what my message is, in hopes that it will become even more clear overtime, with even more posts that will lead to more followers.
Just like attraction marketing, using our posts and engagement within specific communities to seek out a specific outcomes and “followers” is what will give us that quality factor.
Creating content with the intent to resonate with “everyone” is not a good plan. As much as you may think that everyone should find value in what you have to offer, doesn’t mean they will. In fact, it’s almost impossible.
This is why it’s so important to create content within particular niches. To keep it specific. To keep consistency in the message and the value that you’re offering.
Focus on creating content that really resonates with the the communities/niche that you are an expert in, that you’re passionate about and that you can see yourself creating content around for the long term.
You may loose followers and your list of followers may be slower to grow. But you’re going to be growing a quality list of people vs anyone and everyone.
Seek to create quality content over quantity too. I know the urge to push out as much as we can is there, but we don’t want to be putting out just anything. Take the time to come up with good content, formatted the best you can and be authentic.
It may appear that volume is going to equal success, not always, and I believe this platform will prove this to be true overtime. It’s going to be quality that wins.
The way in which we earn STEEM and STEEM POWER here, can be done with quality in mind too. In the long run, it’s going to feel good that you earned it honestly and authentically with the help of a following that really cares about your content.
Growth needs a foundation. And when we don’t have clarity around our intentions and foundation, it could create a messy and unpredictable outcome.
You want your followers to look forward to your posts. You want them to read all your work not just a post here and there. You want to create loyal followers that come back, time and time again.
Writing with the intent to resonate specifically, helps us filter out those that have no interest in what you have to offer. To put it point blank, you don’t want them as a follower anyway.
The same goes for following others. I’ve been trying to really be selective in who I want to follow, I’m seeking quality content that interests, communities in my interest and people that I can create friendships with.
Striving for quantity is messy, unpredictable, and confusing for everyone. Strive for quality. Strive to do the best job you can. Know you’re worth and be confident that there are more than enough quality followers that will find you in good time, just be consistent and clear with what value you’re offering.
I believe it’s a good mindset to develop, here on this platform.
I wish everyone success!
