Howdy folks. Just wanted to post my thoughts and a question. If you use Facebook or Twitter or probably any other Social Media platform, and you have more than 20 or so people that you follow then you have probably noticed that in the last few months the number of post's about Bitcoin and Altcoins has gone through the roof. It's just insane the amount of things I see posted every day on the topic.
We are seeing the good, the bad, and the ugly. My guess is that about 80%-90% are scams and about 5% are potential winners with the rest being a mix of goldmines(Steemit) and those that there is just no way to make any predictions on.
Now after seeing what is happening, I have noticed a disturbing pattern....At least to me, it is. In the past, I have seen many, many programs come and go, as I am sure that you fine folks have as well. Most of them build up lots of hype, get lots of folks excited......and then POOF....they disappear.
One of the big thing being discussed is whether or not Bitcoin and Altcoins are real or a scam. Many folks feel that they are just a Fad and will go away in a few years and we will all lose our money. Now my personal opinion is that Bitcoin is real and will be around longer than...or even you will be. It is NOT a scam. Altcoins on the other hand. Whole nother ballgame.
Unfortunatly many are created and run by greedy, unscrupulous people that will take advantage of their own mother just to make a buck.
It is due to these people that I fear that at least in the US. Bitcoin and Altcoins have the possibility of being regulated out of existence.
