Yaayy! It's my 100th day on steemit.
I got to know about Steemit by chance, was in a campus shuttle with my friend 
My school
EARLY BEGINNINGS
With no information on how to begin, no mentor no nothing, I finally created my account on the 4th of December 2017, and wrote my introductory post on the 7th of December. The reception was warming, lots of nice comments, the post made about $1.27. Still remember my first reward was 0.510 sbd.
But I still didn't understand jack, what is Steem dollars? what is Steem? How do I get paid? My second post had more than 5 likes but still remained $0.00, this puzzled me even further?
Nevertheless I decided to keep blogging.
Silver Lining
After school vacated for the Christmas break, I finally had a lot of free time which I devoted to steemit. I then realized steem was a cryptocurrency, understood the reason for payout fluctuation. I got to know about 
I also discovered foreigners like 
I made my first cash out on the 4th of January this year , doubled my efforts after then.

Finances
I am not rich 'yet' but I can take care of myself now. 80% independent, this is huge for me as before now my parents were my only source of survival, they pay my fees, send monthly allowance and Carter for my every other need. A lot has changed since January though, they don't get distress calls anymore, surprised my mom and dad the last time I was home.
Summary: I'm a lot more financially stable now, relieved my parents of some of their burdens. My younger ones know.
Creativity and knowledge
I used to read a lot back in the days but stopped due to so many factors, since I joined steemit I read a lot more. Spend a lot of time researching to confirm the stuffs I read on here, I also research to gather sufficient facts on anything I wish to know.
