Newly created Steem accounts come with some cryptocurrency (Steem Power) and so Steemit Inc. has restricted how many we can each create for free by only allowing 1 per phone or IP address. This means we need to find other ways to create new accounts if we want more than one or even if our friends/family want accounts from the same Internet Connection as we used.
I have tested the various services available for creating accounts on Steem and so here's my review to let you know the pros and cons and which I recommend.
The three services I know of are:
Anon Steem - This services is run by and offers anonymous account setup in that no phone or IP tracking is involved. You simply transfer the fee to anonsteem and get your account right away. The fee is currently 5 Steem, but you can also use Litecoin or Bitcoin for greater anonymity. The downside here is that the fee is equivalent currently to $25 USD.
Blocktrades - Blocktrades offer a similar service, with the added bonus that they store your password on their server in case you lose it (note: if you change the password then their backup is useless). Their fee is currently the highest at 6 Steem (or $30USD).
Busy.org - I have posted before about the service (which I think is) from busy.org that also allows you to create a Steem account. This service currently has the lowest price at 3 Steem, but requires you to login to their system using your own account's private, active key - so there's a tradeoff between anonymity/privacy/security and cost.
Conclusion
Each of these services has it's own benefits, if you just want the cheapest option, then busy is the way to go - but if you care more about anonymity then go with AnonSteem and if you specifically want a backup made of your password then maybe Blocktrades is worth the extra cost to you.
Wishing you well,
