Hi Steemians,
What's Up,
Steem Network is full of opportunities that can be availed by any Content creator, writers, Developers, Supporters (curators), But there are type of people in the world that simply don't care about the rules and regulations of any platform, What they focus on is their referral bucks, We call these people SPAMMERS.
The common type of spamming is the comment spamming, we often see here, where they just leave a comment promoting their referral code or product.
Some people join steem with the intention to spam, No doubt that on steem network we have the most serious and professional audience as compared to any other social network.
My Clear advice to the spammers is that if you want to get success here all you have to do is to stop spamming otherwise if you have a newly opened account and you will try to spam anyone's post they will simply downvote (flag) you, this lead your account to a reputation score below 25 (which is the default rate for newly opened account) and once your reputation score goes below 25, No one is gonna take you seriously as they may know that this account has already been flagged.
Now, moving on to the next spam strategies that I have seen is to create your own post and promote some referral links, which is again doesn't comply with the terms of network.
You will get flagged by any responsible user or some other accounts like steemcleaners are doing great job.
Let me give you an example when i joined the network, I created many post and one of the post got flagged for sharing referral link of an online HYIP program, I was flagged within few hours, with a sweet comment defining everything, from that day I learnt something and understood that you cannot simply hide your suspicious stuff and will be subject to downvote sooner or later.
My suggestion: Don't promote others product where it's prohibited, Make yourself a brand with full copyrights, I will post later about how to make yourself a brand, rather than promoting others as this is the great way, it may take sometime but it's best in long run as you have your own audience.
If you found it helpful, Please Upvote.
