It could be pretty awesome, right?
Imagine such a rich and famous person, joining steemit.
Now imagine other rich people joining steemit.
They could have so much power, quite interesting to think about but scary too...
What could he actually do. (some possibilities)
He could invest in steem and powerup.
He could invest like 50 million (probably even more) on steem power.
As of 28/01/2018 one steem costs approximately $6.
He could buy 8333333.33333 STEEM and power up.
With that much SP his upvote at 100% power would be worth around $2,600. (that's a lot!)
He could help out good authors that are struggling, easily.
With so much SP, his upvotes could literally support authors that are in a rough spot.
Plus encourage them to improve themselves and write more.
And pretty much for free!
( Unless if steem drops and never gets back up, then he loses money. But I think steem will actually rise even more in the future!)
He could help steemit.
(Fight spam, plagiarism and people that destroy the reward pool?)
Since he invested in steem he would want the best for this site, right?
He would be unstoppable with so much SP and he could do what he thinks is for the best.
For example, he could delegate some SP to the people that are already trying to help steemit.
Or maybe he would create his bot and do things in his own way.
(he is a pretty busy man though)
He could be a great witness.
Even though he is really busy, he could just hire people to do the work.
I believe he can be trusted and he knows his stuff.
He'd never miss a block!
Results of his actions.
Steemit would probably be a better place.
Tons of other people would actually join steemit, just because he joined.
A lot of people would start investing in steem, since Bill Gates himself did.
Steemit would get really, really popular.
Some last words.
I mostly looked into the positive things that he could do.
But he could actually just upvote only himself and do nothing else.
We should not forget, that anyone who is rich can join
And that person can do whatever he wants.
(Yes, even abuse steemit as hard as possibly possible.)
But we should always stick together as a community and try our best to help steemit go forward!
What is your opinion on this? How much can rich people affect the blockchain?
Do you have though of more positive or negative things?
Maybe you think that this will be actually really bad for steemit?
Well, post right away, I would love to read it and see things from your perspective!
