Design, the key to views
Having a good looking article is the key towards having views and upvotes. It is far more pleasing for someone to read well structured content, rather than chaotically placed text and randomly placed images .
Synergy
The article needs to have synergy. Synergy is the connection between sections of the post. My personal advice is to split the whole article into interconnected points using a hashtag to outline the structure.
Example
The thumbnail
This is the #MOST important thing in the whole article. Most people don't bother reading the title, so if you have a pleasing enough thumbnail, it alone can define your article's concept.
Note try to find thumbnails that match the overall concept of your posts.
Don't use images from random sources as you risk being sued for copyright infringement.
Here is a great website I'm using for CC0 (Copyright free) images. - https://pixabay.com/
Line spreading
Line spreading adds a very beautiful overview to the whole post. You can see most people on the platform have their own unique spreaders that they use to make their articles divided. But don't worry, your boy has you covered and made a nice free line divider design for you all to use :)
Just right click it and save it to your desktop, afterwards add it as an image to your future posts.
If for some reason you are too lazy to do that, don't worry ! There is a far more easier way to make a line spread using the in build editor.
Just add:
This makes a really simple line that spreads the page. You can see I have used the tag above several times.
Images
Using images is key to keeping people involved. The first thing some people do is to scroll the post and see the images. If they look low quality they just end up closing the whole page.
You can add images to every section and outline of your post to make it more pleasing.
Pro tip!
You can center images using this simple command:
Steemit supports HTML, so if you know your way around you can use HTML tags to make your content even more beautiful.
Language
I must admit my English inst perfect, its not supposed to be perfect, as I am not from an English speaking country
But the main focus is to write with near perfect English so people can keep the flow going when they read. This is really important . Let me give you an example using this little section.
Example:
I say My English is bad. It is bad because I live in "Country". In my country none speak English. The main focus is to have good English. People like to read goo English.
Now add to this bad grammar and no punctuation and no separation. After that write a whole post and you will see that its not going to do well.
For the people like me who don't have good English, there is a partial solution. There is a website named grammarly which is an online text redactor and editor.
If you want to invest in writing the premium features give you a greater advantage to the software+ access to an actual redactor, reading your stuff and editing it. But honestly the free version is perfect.
