Today marks 1 month since I joined Steemit.
In that month, I have achieved:
- 224 followers (THANK YOU!!!!)
- reputation of 41.6
- an account worth $80
- nearly 900 posts and comments
- two posts worth over $6 each.
- yesterday, I had four posts worth over $1 at the same time
- no more steem power delegated from steemit
I know that some go faster than I, but I also have mostly kept to my photography, not asked for "upvote-for-upvote" or "follow-for-follow." All "organic" growth.
I will do a short series this week about what I have learned during my time on Steemit thus far, things I wish I'd known from the start that might help other newbies.
Here is a little bit more about me.
I am originally from Oregon. I consider the Knappa area to be my hometown. This is a little ways east of Astoria (home to "Goonies," "Short Circuit," "Kindergarten Cop" and other movies.) I participated heavily in 4-H, FFA and drama during my time there.
I have two brothers, four sons and two daughters; also five first cousins.
I have also lived in California, Colorado, Chicago, Wisconsin, England (Southampton, Newbury, Reading and Warminster), Wales, Washington and now Wyoming.
I like to raise animals and have raised: chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese, quail, pigs, sheep, rabbits, cats and even a couple of dogs. I've also kept caged birds such as parakeets (budgies), cockatiels, finches (zebra, society/bengalese, spice and cordon bleu) and an Indian ringneck parakeet named Ozzy (Originally Osma of Oz - until we realized she was a HE!)
Currently, I can't keep any pets, but we will be moving soon, so will be getting fish (to do aquaponics with) and a dog or two. The girls keep begging me for a bird too, so we'll see.
Anyway, that's probably all for now.
