Hello steemers, how are you?
My name is @Viriak. Today I want to make a brief presentation of myself and how it was that I came to this interesting platform.
To start as such, I must first give you a brief summary of who I am:
My name is Alejandro, I live in Venezuela, I am currently 20 years old. From a very young age I was always a person with great ambitions and very high expectations; I remember that when I was 10 years old I set up a goal to create my own video game company, something that I still like today.
As my life went on and grew, I realized that little by little I was being attracted to the path of knowledge, so at age 15 I started studying philosophy. Barely at that age I was very passionate about the way of thinking of those philosophers that we all heard at some time; Aristotle, Plato, Democritus, Socrates.
One day I read about a cynic (cynical philosophy) called Diogenes, a disciple of Antisthenes. It was said that I lived in a barrel and had nothing but a cloak, a cane and a bag of bread. One day Diogenes was sitting in the sun, Alexander the Great appeared before him and told him that if he wanted something, whatever it was, he would give it to him. To which Diogenes replied * "Yes, back off to a little and do not cover the sun" *. In this way Diogenes showed that despite having nothing, he had everything.
When I read that, I understood that happiness does not come from outside, but from ourselves, from the deepest part of our being.
Little by little I became more and more interested in philosophy, and I wanted to start writing. I started on a platform (which today I do not know if it is still used) called Wattpad, in it I started to upload fiction stories to see how I was developing in that area.
Little by little I realized that writing is something I like very much, the fact that I can express your feelings, emotions, ideas, dreams and fantasies through the power of grammar seems to me simply fascinating.
As I was introducing myself and going deeper and deeper into the world of philosophy and writing, I discovered esotericism and / or occultism. It should be noted that I was always a person religiously skeptical, that is, I distrusted too much of everything that in my environment became religious.
Perhaps this of the occult is a topic for an upcoming blog (in case it interests) but really, even without believing in anything of that, it impelled me to continue investigating and increasing my knowledge on diverse subjects.
Today I consider that I am a person really tolerant to many things. Like any other human being, there are days when I do not even understand myself. But I always calm down knowing that if I know myself, I can know my surroundings.
I started working as a content editor a while ago and even a close friend told me: "Hey, did you see Steemit? It's amazing." So I decided to go in and see how is this platform.
A greeting!
