Hello Steemians,
When we search or ask someone about steemit than one statement we get every time, "Steemit is a Decentralized social-blogging website". But after a long run on Steemit, I can say that "I don't feel that Steemit is Decentralized anymore!". I started my steemit career as a noob - who was not knowing about blogging or markdowns, but in the process, I learn many concepts of blogging and started my steemit career. But in the process, I went into the depth of technicalities of steemit and I came to know more about the steemit framework!
Just A Disclaimer...
" I am not justifying anything about steemit and also not demotivating anyone! I am just expressing that why I feel so... Do not worry I got no plans of quitting steemit! I love this platform but I got some concerns too. Everything has two sides! I love you and I respect you!"
- I am not saying anything outside of this site. Every info that I am going to say is already available on Steemit. So just don't think that I am saying this after reading information from some random sites.
- I believe that developers especially core steemit team will focus on decentralized concepts or re-evaluate it and make it better and clear!
Steemit is controlled by its big 284 Members...
- This information about, "Steemit is controlled by its big 284 Members..." is already well known. And after @Dan's resignation, everything gets out of controlled!
- So actually what it says, is that steemit is controlled by its top 250+ members, this members got the high wallet value and also plays an important role in steemit's internal system as well as distribution related decisions.
- After SteemFest2, we had a good makeover of the Steemit front end but the things and major problems remain as it is. And still, there is no roadmap on major issues like flag wars, rewards distribution, big players controlling the ecosystem and many more!
- This big members actually hold 85% of reward distribution, hence it's natural that they are playing a vital role in steemit's decision-making process.
- However, these members are not representing any community or not elected via any polls. Hence there is no control and we remain out of this decision making modal!
Steemit is a puppet of Investors...
- Like every other internet project, steemit requires investments too. But the problem is that there is no transparency by steemit developers on this investments! This keeps everyone in the dark!
- Investors hold greater positions, their comments are counted not ours! Any change can be brought by these investors and this all thing will run in the background. There must be a source so that everyone can refer the current models used in steemit.
- Everything must be white like whitepapers! And the good thing is that this will encourage more investors. And for everyone's knowledge Bitcoin is not built by an individual, it is done by the community, by every small/big investor of bitcoin.Transparency is the key
!
We are controlled by remote Controllers!
- There are many controllers who are controlling steemit right now! They control minnows, they play with steemit, tweak reward distribution as per their profit and needs.
- Downvote, flag wars are all triggered by this controllers. You can also be a controller, just buy a pocket full of steem and tada! You are ready to control us and whole steemit ecosystem.
- Believe me steemit is nothing without quality bloggers and investors. Stop creating controller, Start making representatives!
Steemit is not for minnows!
- I am not making any allegations, as I still, trust the process and believe in developers that they will wake up one day and wipe out every mess from steemit.
- As a current trend, minnows holds a very little amount of reward distributions. This discourages every steemit minnow and makes them to quit steemit!, so after this day, If you see huge fall in registration and active members, you know who is responsible for this aftermath tragedy!
- The biggest thing that minnows remain out of the big picture, which gives us a feeling that we are not contributing anything to steemit! We remain discouraged by both contribution and rewards(wallet balance)!
