OUR STEEMIT INTRODUCTION
We didn't do one when we first started, so it's only right we make this our introduction post! Hi I'm Mike, a lot of my friends call me Speck Mike. I'm an audio engineer, a sound mixer, rapper/songwriter & a content creator in the video editing space. I'm 24, and I was born in buffalo NY. I've lived in Hawaii for past 4 and a half years, and in that short time I've experienced 11 months of homelessness w/ my mom, & 6 months w/ my girlfriend Amy (things are better now). Although sleeping in a car isn't as fun as it sounds; it was the most motivating experience I've ever had. I've learned to appreciate life & all it has to offer. I've also learned to not take things for granted, especially the opportunity to join this awesome Steemit community! Hello everyone my name is Amy. I go by Amy Jay as well, I am a first Mexican American generation in my familia. Gotta represent for la raza! Lol I am currently a bartender in a well known hotel in Waikiki Hawaii. My hobbies include Photography, sketching, & fashion design. I love being able to create things it shows me what I am capable of. I made a dress out of starburst wrappers in high school for a Fashion Show back in El Paso. El Paso is my home & I will forever love my hometown, I was born and raised in El Paso Texas so moving out here to Hawaii after being in El Paso for 24 years was a HUGE shift! But I am glad I did it. I moved out here to Honolulu with Michael. I have known Michael for 10 years, him and I go way back! :) Michael and I have been through a lot this past year but it has made us stronger and more passionate about our talents & how we can put it out there for people to see.
