I joined Steemit just over two months ago and have spent a ton of time trying to be a good Steemonian. Now with the benchmark of 1,000 followers, I realize how lucky I am to have found this awesome community.
First I want to say thank you every one of my followers and all the people that have upvoted, replied and resteemed. I really appreciate all the support. I can't thank you enough.
There are a few things that I have learned along the way to 1,000 that I would like to share. A few tips to maybe help you get to 1,000.
1. Be honest - Steemit isn't like Facebook, people want the honest you. If you are posting, be honest about who you are. This giving economy appreciates honesty and I try to be honest in all that I do... especially on Steemit.
2. Put in effort - It is important to be active and committed to Steemit if you want to succeed at any level. You have to put out content or post replies regularly. It takes effort and you have to put in the work.
3. Keep Steeming - Sometimes the price of STEEM goes up and sometimes it goes down. No matter what the price does, keep Steeming. We are in beta and have a long way to go. Keep Steeming and everything will work out.
4. Be nice- There are a lot of really cool people here and almost everyone is very nice. This is a great community of learners and very skilled people and if you are nice, you will see that this Steemit world will respond in kind.
5. Always Learn - There is a wealth of knowledge on this site and taking the time to search topics you like will reveal a treasure trove of great content. Keep learning.
I'm very excited to hit 1,000 followers. It is a big benchmark in my eyes. I can't thank you all enough for all that you do to support my love for writing, teaching and learning. I will work hard to continue to put out great content and get to know as many of you all possible. This is a great community and I am lucky to have found it. Thank you!
