# What makes people care about the new guys?
Maybe i'm a nice guy, maybe i care about my investment in steemit, i actually don't know. **BUT** my point of this post is whats making whales, dolphins, minnows actually help out the new guys that have actual question.
As much as we are all sitting around trying to make an extra buck, I'm spending a lot of time helping out on the new posts with their newbie questions, for example - what is steem power and steem dollars, how do i send this to that ect. Yes i know they can google it, but a lot of newbies aren't. SO im sitting here spending a lot of my time helping these type of people out.
# And that's when i started thinking
What's the intensive to make other people help out the newbies? Why would i comment on someones post to help them out knowinlgy that i wont get any thing from it?
SO to make it short is, why do people need to care about the new guys - as there is no reason for them to help out.
Is there anything in the pipe line like this?
