I have been on Steemit for a few days now and I have noticed two distinct feeling in myself. When I post something on here I want it to mean something to others. I get disappointed when I see people up vote my post but didn’t read it. I know I want my posts to make money but what I really want is that the time I spend creating these posts to impact someone. I also would love to make money writing on topics I feel passionately about, but what I want more than making money is an audience that cares about what I post. I make a point to only follow people who I actually find interesting and hope that the people who follow me want to read my posts. I understand that a segment of the Steemit community are here primarily to game the system. This is not my desire.
I started the Steemit journey by investing $700 in Steem, which I locked into Steem Power because I felt I wanted to invest into the platform and also show the community I am serious about my commitment. I know I have only been here a few days and my experience is limited but I hope I can generate a following of people that actually read my posts. I also understand that the quality of my writing is a key factor as is my ability to produce writings worth reading. I hope I can demonstrate to you all that I’m here to add to the community first and foremost. Thank you for your time and consideration.
