Howdy, Steemit!
I haven't posted lately (been busy with stuff) but despite that, still gained quite a few followers. So I thought I'd write a quick post about my "philosophy" on follow4follows and such...
(1) While I appreciate people who click the follow button, I will never tell, remind, ask or suggest that you follow me.
That's entirely up to you. I'm just posting here for the fun of it, and I trust in your free will to guide you to follow me or not.
(2) I don't follow4follow, but if you follow I'll follow back.
That's just my way of saying "thank you," regardless of whether you've followed me out of genuine interest or not. It's just a thing I do in acknowledgement.
(3) I will never unfollow my followers, unless a) they've unfollowed first, or b) they write yuuuge advertisement paragraphs in my wallet for 0.001 SBD.
I've seen some users follow a ton of people and then carry out an "unfollow spree." I've also seen people who lie about following you, just to get you to follow them. I don't like that kind (or any other kind) of BS, so I will unfollow4unfollow and shenanigan4shenanigan. Dun dun duuuun! (dramatic sound effect)
For those of you who might not know this, there's a website where you can check who has followed/unfollowed/muted you. So if you're someone who "returns favors," it'll save you lots of time and effort. Here's the link (just type in your username to get your data): https://steem.makerwannabe.com/
That said, there are still some people that I'd follow even if they'd unfollow (or never followed in the first place). However, users like those are an exception to the rule and would be only a handful. Maybe two handfuls.
So there you have it; WhutsWhat's 3 Laws of Steemit Following Motion (?) or whatever..!
