The whole concept of steemit promotes positive communication between members and since joining this site i have seen no negative remarks or 'trolling' taking place. This is truly a breath of fresh air as trolling had become almost synonymous with the whole internet experience.
I am under no illusions that this is largely because members are incentivised with monetary gains but if this financially incentivised re-education by polite and constructive interaction was to become the norm, as steemit reaches more and more users throughout every corner of the internet, i wonder if steemit could have a more profound effect on society than i first summised.
Undoubtedly there are people on steemit who have trolled before and maybe even still do on other platforms but over time by constantly handing out positive feedback could this change the mindset of that user even when there was no incentive to be had ? I think it possibly could.
So as steemit grows and people hopefully learn that positive and polite communication is always in everyone's best interests could in time the world then be changed to some degree, in a way steemit never intended when conceived ?
