Was It Something I Said.....REALLY?
Funny, I haven't posted in a long while. I was just trying to instead read other people's posts and comment on them if it seemed authentic to do so.
Now that I am able to spend a little more time on Steemit, I wanted to get back into posting every day. I have been doing a lot of projects at the homestead and at our community's school, and just need to download pictures to round out the posts.
So today, I check into Steemit. I first look to see if anyone has commented on my last couple of posts. I like to respond in a timely fashion since I love the interactive aspect to Steemit.
Since I have so few upvotes (not a complaint, just an observation), I am able to see each and every one of my upvoters. If they are new to me, I check out their page and what they have written recently. Another reason why I love Steemit.
On my latest post, I have a downvote. I am not sure why I have a downvote but I do, and it might be from a bot. WTH??
It's the Wrong Message for Steemit
I don't think downvote bots are EVER a good thing. A downvote is something serious. Sure this bot is only a newbie "25" and cannot essentially hurt me but that's not my point. Downvote bots should not be an option on this platform. Period.
What if another newbie was being harassed by this bot? Maybe they would think twice before coming back to this platform?
I think most would agree that it is the diversity that is another benefit to Steemit. I can read about other people from across the globe, telling their story. Places I may never see in my lifetime. Steemit connects.
Thanks for listening. If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to comment below. Maybe this downvote is a onetime affair. We will see.
