The Kalyani Mon inscriltion had located the capital of Suvannabhumi somewhere in the northwest of the Kelasapow pagoda. The excavations were undertaken in Ayetthema and Winka, the two adjoining villages at the foot of the Kelatha rang in 1975 and 1976. Excavated structure at Winka take on a square plan with each side measuring 69 feet in length. The excavation in this building yielded personal ornaments such as terracotta and carnelian beads, necks of sprinkler vessel, spouts kettle and the fragments of cooking pot.
