Hello everyone especially from the Philippines and to those countries celebrating Valentine’s Day!
I’m actually inspired by the song “Where do broken hearts go” by Whitney Houston, which is one of my favorite songs, a very meaningful song because it is about a woman trying to convince her boyfriend to come back to her even if she had enough depth.
Every one of us has had to experience broken heart in anyways at least once in our lives. Let me say that broken heart feels like millions of knife going through you at every moment, and can’t even hide it, even how many times you are trying to escape from the pain. You are being so sensitive to anything that reminds you of him/her, your heart is in deeper much pain, full of sorrow, you even forget how to smile genuinely. Crying all night long and just remembering the pain that he/she had caused. We even change who really we are just to fit the person’s need. Yes! All of these might happen to us, but it doesn’t mean that you have to stop your world, l want you to bear in your mind your worth as a person. When someone breaks your heart think about what you can do to make the better version of yourself because the best revenge is to be a successful one.
My curiosity drives me to ask few of my friends “Where do really broken hearts go?” and here are their answers:
Hanging Out with Friends – Alonica is hanging out with her friends the time that she was suffering from the major falling out, from being wrecked, she shares all about her problems to her friends, the pain, bad words, shamefulness and everything she did just to cover up the stupidity of his boyfriend. She was actually devastated and taken for granted, she can’t even believe that she allows herself to be treated that way, she considers her friends as an outlet. They go out, drink, and amused her just to wake her up, from her nightmare. And gradually, she was able to recover everything and aftermath, she is now an independent strong woman.
Committing Suicide - Elvin is committing suicide that very moment when his girlfriend breaks up with him, thinking that she will not come back anymore, and the thought that they both have plans together, he already pictures his future with her. His family already accepted and approved whatever decision that they might have on their way as a couple. But Life wins, he realized that he still have a long way to go, he should fight for his love and win her back, he did everything for what he believed is right, and proved to her that he really loves her that much, and fortunately the girl comeback because of his perseverance to make their relationship worth fighting for.
Trying to open her heart to another Man – Mj told me that the best way to forget someone especially when he hurts you over and over again is to open your heart and let somebody in because when a new person comes into your life who loves you, and who you are capable of loving in return, you'll barely think of this older love at all, and that’s what she did, she is now happy with her new boyfriend, she is more than contented and happy now without any hesitations in life.
Making the Best Version of herself – Reca my college friend give me this quote, that reminds her everyday “If you want to do extraordinary things in life if you want to become the best version of yourself, you must have extraordinary faith in yourself and life.” Making the best version of yourself makes you forget the person you love the most, because at the end of the day, he will realize that you are actually strong and knows how to stand up on your own without him in your life. You are here in this world to grow and evolve and be the best version of yourself, do not let yourself stuck on the person who doesn’t know your worth.
This is just a few things to ease the pain when you're heart is broken, and I know we have different ways on how we will able to overcome such pain! and when the pain goes away, I'm pretty sure that you will be so very proud of yourself for being so strong for getting through it.
