The Palacio de Congresos, set in the Barcelona Trade Fair grounds, handles more than 40 major events each year in its 13 halls (total area over 390,000sqm).
The conference centre has 11 meeting rooms (spaces for 25 to 1,000 people), in addition to a multi-purpose auditorium with seating for 1,650. The exhibition area in the conference centre is 5,600sqm. Catering is provided for up to 2,000 delegates. The size of Barcelona Trade Fair’s grounds can accommodate major events of 25,000 participants. The Gran Via Convention Centre was opened in 1995, with the first phase of its expansion completed in 2001.
